Wat a relief!!..At last..the torture of being demoralised, put down by an acid-tongued GE tutor weeks after weeks 's finally OVER!! Yippea! Certainly worthy of a celebration & tat's y I rewarded myself to a sumptuous dinner on tat very day..:) So now..gearing up for the typical..unescapable final battle of every sem..@ uni life..Exams..8 days 2 go.. Ganbatte, everyone & 2 myself, of course.

Oh yah..sth worth mentioning,on top of my usual complaining..pardon me..if u r a freq reader of my blog..like dear cousin..hihi.. okie...

& tat sth's my debut visit 2 the Esplanade Concert Hall on tuesday! Haha..Tues w Esplanade..rather than Tues with MOrrie..Ring a bell ? tat famous bestseller? So u c.. I went 2 attend a proper orchestra performance..
thks 2 my sis, Phy who can't make it lastmin..U c..She's a cultured arts person w such acquired taste..so it's no wonder such performance r her usual hunts..esp when it's a performance by her alma mater NUS..

the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Music.. Mind u, tat's a sold-out concert performance tat my bro-in-law needed 2 go specially 2 book..So a big thks 2 dear Da JIe & Bro Lawr..4 the free tixs & indirectly CAv 280..cos..it's due to my stressing over tat stupid public speaking/poetry recitatn assessment on wed..tat sis decided 2 give these tixs 2 me & I decided 2 ask along my dear cousin fr nus..

Wow..the Concert hall's majestic with superb acoustic system, enchanting lighting (or is there a chandelier, not too sure ?) and unique layout.. Oops..or am i being a country bumpkin..or watever...
Anyway..the performance's a roaring success with the audience enthralled by the soothing, spectacular playing of a variety of music... such as the fast and varying, high & low note ranging of this masterpiece of famous pianist, Albert Tiu, (mind u...he had performed w yoyo ma b4 lah, accordin 2 sis..)

He sure has nimble fingers and superb skills in controllin the notes well & deliverin such fantastic sole performance...roaring, endless applause followed immediately after his bow. & not forgettin the many bouquets of flowers he received! 1 of my favourite's the performance by him accompanied by the NUS orchestra of the Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor, Op.18 by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

At least I'm fast awake by then..cos I weren't tat well, actually down w cold..so kinda of drowsy after medicatn prior to tis.. Thanks god! I didn't end up dozing off , though..i almost did so during the sad, gloomy music prelude to the whole piece . Luckily..tis sad par t of the concerto wasn't tat long..if not i'm definitely so disrespectful 2 the orchestra!

Indeed , tis 's been An eye-opener 4 me! Hmm.. a metamorphosis to a more cultured Me?
Wait a min, or ain't i oredi one? Haha.. Anyway...Bye..Time 2 mug ..or study smartly!! Goal 2 do my best 4 the next 2 weeks b4 I treat myself 2 a much-anticipated Musical..The Sound of Music.. on 28th Apr!! After tat..my YEP trip 2 Yunnan!! Simply can't wait 4 my happening holidays 2 begin!! Countdown18 days more 2 go...
