Finally, the dreadful ordeal was over!! No more mugging 4 at least the next 3 mths.
Soon, it will be the start of all the hectic pre-expendition activities4 JOH as May begins! Fund-raising, bonding camp, and home visit..Hectic, yet certainly going 2 b enjoyable and meaningful!!
I'm certain tat it's going 2 be a great preclude 2 the long-anticipated overseas trip! - the Journey of Hope to ....
Shan Ling Jiao Village, Xiao Long Dong County, Zhaotong, Yunnan, China...wah.so wordy..
anyway..all in all, a meaningful Youth Expendition Project 2 Yunnan.. YEP with 2 major projects -Imparting Greenhouse cultivatn techniques 2 villagers & Intro of formal educatn 4 the kids..

Oh yah..not 2 4get the highlight of tis post-exam wk...
my debut musical@ the Esplanade Theatre: " the Sound of Music"

Went with my buddy cousin yesterday evening.. Enjoyed ourselvese to the fullest despite of 2 irritating fellows sitting right behind, who were obviously enjoyin the musical very much @ the expense of others as they laughed & chatted loudly even @ the heartwarmin scenes! OMG! Weirdos man! Nonetheless, it was indeed $133++ well- spent as we had a good view of all the action at a comfortable distance ..not too near or too far.Just right.
Simply loved all those songs..DoReMi..16-goin on 17... the sound of music..my fav things..all-time fav since my childhood till now.. the female lead, Jennifer Samrick's superb in her singing..& her role as Maria..& not 4getting the 7 adorable teenager/children artistes..

I was enthralled! The scenery backdrop, the sheer extravagance of the production was a feast ! The props were intricate and impressive, esp those for the wedding scene @ candle-lit church & the living hall scene as the Von Trapps greeted the guests with the goodbye song as they..Oops..can't rem the title at e moment..but at least I noe abit of the lyrics.Hmm...so thk god! I bought the programme booklet as keepsake.judging from my absentmindedness....though it's quite astronomical 2 charge $15 for the glossy programme booklet/pictorial book. Oh yah..btw..4 those who have never been for any muscial as yet @ esplanade, this seems to be their usual practice.

Sianz, gtg liao b4 U noe Who starts her naggin agin..
I shall end my blog here with the lyrics of the Sound of Music..

The hills r alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears
My heart wants to beat like the wings
Of the birds that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies from
a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls
Over stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray
I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of music
And I'll sing once more

3 Down.. Just 1 more 2 go..I will survive!

At last.. I can finally take a break for 2day after cramming endlessly for 3 consecutive papers since Mon. Wat a load off my mind! Been a terrible exam week 4 me so far, all of them were out 2 kill..haha..our hope of gd grades!! At least for CEd & the earlier Maths papers..As for my genetics one, haiz..due to my foolish blunder of choosing the wrong essay (20marks) Qn..Wat to do.. Me & my stupidity under stressed situatn.. haiz. Anyway, I am sure that my grade will deteriorate, as compared to last sem. But pls..I hope my prayers will b answered..no Ds..Pls..hopefully there may be some grade moderation based on my cohort performance if everyone does badly. Oops..an evil thought..shouldn't be hoping that the rest did so badly as me..

Anyway, I am glad that I have survived tis exam "ordeal" so far esp when I were so lastmin in my revision, as compared to my prior sem. u c..Being a easily anxious person, exams' always been a nerve wrecking event if i do not prepare well b4hand.

Wat a relief!!..At last..the torture of being demoralised, put down by an acid-tongued GE tutor weeks after weeks 's finally OVER!! Yippea! Certainly worthy of a celebration & tat's y I rewarded myself to a sumptuous dinner on tat very day..:) So now..gearing up for the typical..unescapable final battle of every sem..@ uni life..Exams..8 days 2 go.. Ganbatte, everyone & 2 myself, of course.

Oh yah..sth worth mentioning,on top of my usual complaining..pardon me..if u r a freq reader of my blog..like dear cousin..hihi.. okie...

& tat sth's my debut visit 2 the Esplanade Concert Hall on tuesday! Haha..Tues w Esplanade..rather than Tues with MOrrie..Ring a bell ? tat famous bestseller? So u c.. I went 2 attend a proper orchestra performance..
thks 2 my sis, Phy who can't make it lastmin..U c..She's a cultured arts person w such acquired taste..so it's no wonder such performance r her usual hunts..esp when it's a performance by her alma mater NUS..

the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Music.. Mind u, tat's a sold-out concert performance tat my bro-in-law needed 2 go specially 2 book..So a big thks 2 dear Da JIe & Bro Lawr..4 the free tixs & indirectly CAv 280..cos..it's due to my stressing over tat stupid public speaking/poetry recitatn assessment on wed..tat sis decided 2 give these tixs 2 me & I decided 2 ask along my dear cousin fr nus..

Wow..the Concert hall's majestic with superb acoustic system, enchanting lighting (or is there a chandelier, not too sure ?) and unique layout.. Oops..or am i being a country bumpkin..or watever...
Anyway..the performance's a roaring success with the audience enthralled by the soothing, spectacular playing of a variety of music... such as the fast and varying, high & low note ranging of this masterpiece of famous pianist, Albert Tiu, (mind u...he had performed w yoyo ma b4 lah, accordin 2 sis..)

He sure has nimble fingers and superb skills in controllin the notes well & deliverin such fantastic sole performance...roaring, endless applause followed immediately after his bow. & not forgettin the many bouquets of flowers he received! 1 of my favourite's the performance by him accompanied by the NUS orchestra of the Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor, Op.18 by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

At least I'm fast awake by then..cos I weren't tat well, actually down w cold..so kinda of drowsy after medicatn prior to tis.. Thanks god! I didn't end up dozing off , though..i almost did so during the sad, gloomy music prelude to the whole piece . Luckily..tis sad par t of the concerto wasn't tat long..if not i'm definitely so disrespectful 2 the orchestra!

Indeed , tis 's been An eye-opener 4 me! Hmm.. a metamorphosis to a more cultured Me?
Wait a min, or ain't i oredi one? Haha.. Anyway...Bye..Time 2 mug ..or study smartly!! Goal 2 do my best 4 the next 2 weeks b4 I treat myself 2 a much-anticipated Musical..The Sound of Music.. on 28th Apr!! After tat..my YEP trip 2 Yunnan!! Simply can't wait 4 my happening holidays 2 begin!! Countdown18 days more 2 go...

Yeah!! At last! I'm done with my voice production essay! No more thousand words essay 2 crack my brain over.. :) End of all the mind-boggling, dreadful assignments & essay..But then..tis spells the start of exam-mugging..sianz..just like the gloomy weather 2day.

Been a wet wet..day..Been raining heavily since morning.Certainly an ideal weather 4 me to laze at home with lovable Doraemon and a short novel to enjoy. But then..Haiz..this's just a hypothetical situation especially when exams are round the corner..If only I could have 48 hrs per day, I would certainly do so! Nonetheless, in a mth's time, this will be a reality 4 me!! Lazing at home in my cosy room for at least 2 weeks til mid-may when my YEP commitments, training begin full-force! Then it will b...Yunnan, oops..can't rem actual place..here I come in June... Oh yah..Not 4gettin prior 2 Yunnan expedition, the enjoyment I shall b lookin 4ward right away after exams will be definitely the watching of the much anticipated Musical with dear cousin.. The Sound of Music!! An all-time Favourite!

Now i am @ NIE lib comp lab..typing away while take 5!
Break's now a Must esp when I fell ill due to overexhaustion and just recovered last week.So Now..I'm rejuvenated and ready to gear up for exams! I hope no panic attacks like last sem..so meanwhile, i shall go to exercise later tis evening. The best remedy against Stress! Anyway..I just do my best for exams..at least all passes..but definitely..D are a NO-no..And perhaps. i hope..minimal Cs..This will be my target 4 tis sem..As for As..Hmm...they seem pretty unreachable.. So if i can miraculously get 1, it'll definitely be a Bonus!

Time's up 4 my break..Back 2 my preparation 4 GE presentatn on Wed.
Wish me luck!
